Passion Fest 2008
Pottstown, PA
Members of Thunder Outreach helped in many areas of this great event Hosted by" Passion Fest "
Wow! 2008 Passion Fest in Pottstown was HOT and AWESOME - Extreme sports, Riders for Christ, Motor cross cycles, BMX bikes and skateboards flying through the air, thousands of people fellowshipping and lots of children running at around the Kids Zone area. Bands like "Falling up", "House of Heroes"," AunaMae," "Between the Two" and "Project 86" pounded the air waves all day. Plus our friends from Coatesville Pa. called "CUT" were on the main stage and did a great job reaching the hearts of the crowds.
There was a Drama team from Harvest Fellowship and a 21 person Filipino dance team that did a outstanding job with their shows.

There was a Large "Community Care" area hosted 30 local charities, Police, Military and Fire dept members who were spending time interacting with members of our community.
The MC for the event was Dustin and Landis and had the place jumping and speaker Pastor Steve Defrain Jr, from Journey church spoke about the prodigal son and led 25 people to give their lives to the Lord, Glory to God!
Members of Thunder Outreach were part of the planning and support staff for this event and even hosted a tent at the event with co-director Lisa Malizzi and team members talking with people all day. Even our own Thunder Outreach director Mark Malizzi was working with all the bands, staff and support personnel on the massive main stage as the stage manager!
70,000 watts of power to the main stage were donated by Pastor Mike Anthony and our friends at "Heart of God Worship Center" in Pottstown as we worked with the great people at "Total Rental" to cover the cost the huge generator needed to run the Main stage.
Moving big things around and setting up the staging and skate park was made much easier with the help of the big front end loader donated but our friends at "Henkels and McCoy" contractors.
The heat was on and the power was flowing and many lives were powerfully touched at this event. Thunder Outreach is glad to work with Paul and Lisa Heaverly and all the wonderful volunteers who helped make this years Passion fest a great success.
We look forward to what God has in store for this event next year as the Passion was POWERFUL!

by Pastor Peter Smith
Hosted by UPPEN Churches & Intercessors, Word FM and Thunder Outreach
Wow! It is hard to believe that God has allowed us to see the completion of the 4 day event called Freedom Fest. God opened the doors for all the churches to do this event and God's hand seemed to be at work throughout the process. It went better than I think we could have hoped for. Praise the Lord! God has been so good. Thank you everyone for your prayers! Thank you to all the pastors, lay leaders& volunteers from various churches that did a great job.
Fireworks
There was a long line of cars pouring into the field within the hour before the fireworks went off. In spite of a light rain at the end of the warm summer day, the fireworks went off without a problem. The fireworks were a lot of fun and were impressive. As the fireworks went off, I just found myself overwhelmed with worship toward God. You could just sense the presence of God. We were experiencing the culmination of a special 4 day experience. It was a wonderful feeling.
Fifteen Churches
Fifteen churches came together to coordinate this 4th of July community event. I had so many encouraging conversations with other pastors from the area. I do not think the area churches have ever had such a wonderful opportunity to be a positive testimony to the community. People were so appreciative.
The WordFM& Thunder Outreach
A very special thank you to Dave Baker & the staff at the WordFM. They did a great job of making the commercials, promoting this event and being at the event doing live call-in's through the week. Thank you so much to Mark Malizzi and the Thunder Outreach team for their worship band and sound equipment support. Both ministries are such an encouragement.
Clowns/Costume Characters & Balloons
The "Bob the Builder", "Elmo" and the "Clown" costume characters were a big hit!
Rides, Games, Food, Dunk Tank, Fireman's Competition, Live Music and Youth bands
The two youth bands from Finland Mennonite church (Wednesday) and Huff's church & Fritz VonHummel (Friday) did a great job. It was so neat to see young people that love Jesus, worshiping God together there in the park.
Meeting Community People
It was so much fun just meeting people and talking to people from the community. People were very appreciative to the churches for taking over this event and for serving the community together.
To God be all the Glory!!!

Thunder in Amity
The weather was perfect for the Big Red Balloon and all our Spirits to raise up. People brought food, took a ride in the Balloon, climbed the two and a half story high Rock Wall and signed up at the table for free gifts.

The day was filled with God's Love as we spoke with people and just had fellowship and fun. The best question of the day was " Why do we do these kind of events" and that gave us a chance to open our hearts and speak a positive voice into their life.

Bridge to Hope Sleep Out
Awareness Event for Homeless People
Souderton, PA
Sponsored by Word FM Radio Station
Word FM: Sleep out. . . so others can sleep in
Posted: October 23, 2007 | 1:14 PM | Emily Ralph
Last night the Morning Show crew headed out to the Souderton Shopping Center parking lot to "sleep out" to raise awareness for homelessness. The night started out with a party-like atmosphere, with the guys building a fire pit (what’s with boys and fire?), scavenging for food (thank goodness for Wawa, right?), and a live broadcast with Timmy D on the evening show. Dave’s buddies were Don Brunk from our prayer team, Billy Dunn, former morning show color commentary, and Mark Malizzi from Thunder Outreach, an organization that throws block parties and food drives in Jesus’ name. Hearing my desperate plea for female companionship, my friend Holly who works at Indian Valley Housing Corporation and volunteers at the station, came out to give me support.
Here’s our cardboard village (a few people slept in their cars as well); Dave and Don checking in with Timmy D; Don’s son Isaac trying out the coziest of accommodations; Don showing us how comfortable he would be; All guys need for a sleep out—newspaper, tape (for taping me in my box), and Oreo's; Keeping warm and entertained by the fire.

In the morning, everyone was a little more subdued as they dealt with stiff backs, hungry stomachs, and very little sleep (Route 113 is NOISY!). Dave helped Don get the fire going again; Billy Dunn snuggling up in his blanky for comfort; Don and our new friend Ryan enjoying the fire as the sun rises; Beautiful sunrise over the conference center; My home for the night—warm and cozy!

Thanks so much to Cheryl Swartley from Bridge of Hope and Jennifer Ashley from Indian Valley Housing Corporation for coming out to answer our questions about homelessness. If you’d like to sleep out so that others can sleep in, check out their websites -- Indian Valley Housing Corporation and Bridge of Hope BuxMont.

Pig Roast and Fellowship Day
Laurel Mountain Ministries Boyertown, PA
Sponsored by The Biker Church
Heaven’s Thunder music ministries along with the men’s group of Teen Challenge provided praise and worship for this local biker fellowship day that included a water baptism, food and party event.

What a great day that will surely to be remembered by all who were there! With God's Blessings on the weather, people, bikes, food, music and fellowship, the Biker Church pig roast and event was just awesome!
The mountain in Boyertown was shaking! But the most important thing that happened on that day was the 27 people were water baptized in the pool and have dedicated there lives to the Lord. That is what is all about - seeing peoples' lives touched and changed by God.
