Thunder Outreach Ministries and Events

Thunder Outreach is a (501c3) Non-Profit Charity and has programs that utilize many different components and sources from each community it works with based on the needs of that community.

Thunder Outreach works with local churches, businesses, fire and police departments, mayors and other community based groups with activities that build community projects, food drives, community and music outreaches that not only meet that need, but also create a network in that community that will last after the events are over.

We have many different needs in our communities, and it has been said that our communities are better and stronger when we work together.

The Thunder Outreach programs were birthed by a heart felt and Spirit filled need to take God's love and mercy out into our communities.

The Bible states in Mark 12:30-31
"We are to Love God with all our Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength
AND to Love our Neighbor as we love ourselfs"

Thunder Outreach's focus includes reaching into the heart of communities and helping to build that team spirit while interceding and networking for and into each community it visits.

Events like these help set new standards for community support,
while at the same timein a positive and morally sound environment.

Here are just a few of the events that Thunder Outreach has organized and Hosted!

Thunder in the Valley Food Drive and Community Events. No person would have ever thought that in January of 2005, as we started to plan a simple community day, that it would touch the world by setting two world records. The "Worlds Largest Community Food Drive in 24 Hrs, by raising over 156,889 lbs. of food and filling ten tractor trailers. Nor did we know that Hurricane Katrina would impact the USA to a point it did that caused the Government to send food and supplies to the southern US Regions, leaving the northeast food pantries empty. So with the help of local companies, schools, army reserves, marines, churches, and over 3000 boy scouts and hundreds of volunteers. Thunder Outreach was able to organize, host and deliver food and supplies to food pantries and programs all over the northeast, which impacted and touched thousands of peoples lives.

Christmas In July. Christmas in July was started with the basic idea of showing the true meaning of Christmas through love, caring and sharing. Thunder Outreach invited a locally selected group of children who's families were not financially able to provide any presents for them during the last Christmas season. Working the the local Salvation Army, Thunder Outreach hosted and sponsored a special Christmas party for ten boys and ten girls at a location like Chick-Fil-A. The party included a Christmas tree, Games, party and presents filled with toys, school supplies and candy.

Light In The Night "Safe Zones". Thunder Outreach, with the help of local companies, schools, churches, radio and TV stations. Fire and Police teams provided hundreds of block party type safe zones locations during trick or treating night in local communities during the Halloween Season. A Safe Zone includes games, candy and much more in a safe environment with the help of local Fire and Police teams. Our statement is "you do not need to take your kids down dark city streets to get candy from a stranger on a night filled with evil intentions". In times like these, we need to be even more proactive and aware in our communities.

HonorFest. HonorFest events were created as a community and regional wide way to show all area first responders and military units how much we appreciate them everyday. Thunder Outreach teams working with all parts of a community to host a special HonorFest event focused on saying "Thank You" in the best way we can to the people who "Protect and Serve" our communities everyday. Hosted and located at stadiums or large community parks, the event includes live bands, block party, corporate sponsors and displays. Family and youth events, guest speakeers for local, state and national representatives. All focused on saying "Thank You". It is said that "No greater love is there than when a person is willing to lay down his or her life for a friend". All first responders and military take this statement very personally and put their lives on the line every day to protect our families. We can never say "Thank You" enough.

East Coast Thunder. As a way to connect to the community, Thunder Outreach has organized many local charity car shows with food drives. Each event creates and opportunity to network with car clubs and people in a festive environment. Each show uses entry fee donations and food drives to help support local food banks. Also includes a women's oasis, face painting, food vendors. While also honoring fire fighters and police officers in that reigion. The people who have attended these charity car show events have always been blessed and excited about being part of this positive community event.

First Responder Blessing Programs. In a response to meet the needs of first responders, military and emergency units . Thunder Outreach created first responder blessing programs that use simple acts of kindness to show support and caring for people who protect and serve our community everyday. Simple acts like making chocolate chip cookies, supporting local community events and working with our first responders. Honoring first responders in all our community events and even helping organize local relationships and chaplain programs through area ministries. What started as a simple relationship with local police officers has now grown into relationships that cross county and state boundaries. Simple acts of kindness for our first responders throughout the year and working with their needs to support them will continue to be a growing and exciting part of the future of Thunder Outreach events.

Boyertown Inn Makeover. What started as a simple opportunity as a downtown inner city community improvement project has grown and touched many lives and also helped change perceptions in a community. Thunder Outreach team leaders work with many parts of the community, companies, churches and people to help transform a very important part of history. Which also supports a simple life style living. The Boyertown Inn Makeover project has accomplished this by using over 1900 volunteer hours to help transform a beautiful 1860's victorian building into a usable beautiful and tangible act of compassion and love. The Boyertown Inn has been transformed through the exterior colors and repairs, which now offers simple living and simple quarters to people who room at the Inn. Thunder Outreach works continuously with the Houck's who own the building, constantly looking for ways to save and improve this grand piece of history while at the same time, offering services and fellowship to residence of the Inn. Offering a christmas dinner to the residence. With the support of community leaders and volunteers from National Penn Bank, Boyertown Lions Club and many other local churches and volunteers, Thunder Outreach will continue to improve the life style of the people who live at the Inn with simple acts of kindness, faith, hope and compassion that is helping change and touch the heart of Boyertown.

Thunder Outreach team members have been able to help reset and set new standards on showing love, compassion, faith and caring that has been recognized on many different levels as they pioneer and create new events in communities. As Thunder Outreach continues to grow, it has been described as a diamond with many facets. Thunder Outreach will continue to look into new and innovative ways to powerfully and positively touch communities they work with. It is said that our communities are stronger when everyone works together. Thunder Outreach's mission will continue to help build positive strength of faith, hope and love in each event that it hosts, supports, or works with.
